Three resistants stop the twentieth convoy from Malines at Boortmeerbeek and open a wagon; deportees escape, others are shot along the tracks.

Three young Belgian resistance fighters, armed with a pistol and a lantern disguised as a signal, stop at Boortmeerbeek the twentieth convoy that had departed from the Dossin barracks in Malines and open a wagon. Deportees escape into the night, others jump further along the track, some are shot by the escort. This is the only armed attack on a deportation convoy in occupied Europe; several of the escapees survived until liberation.
