After two prior actions, the ghetto of Slonim is liquidated in June; armed groups formed in the ghetto fire on the columns and part of the imprisoned reach the forests, where a partisan detachment is established.
Ancient city of western Belarus, Slonim saw its community confined to a ghetto established in the riverside quarters, then struck by successive operations. A clandestine committee gathered weapons taken from repair workshops and organized the passage of fighters into the forests; during the liquidation, part of the quarter was set on fire and those last confined were shot.
