The ghetto of the lake town is encircled and emptied in three days; a few dozen young people manage to reach the forest and join the partisan detachments.
Braslaw, in northwestern Belarus, was home to a community that had been confined for a year in two ghettos. In early June, both were liquidated over three days: the residents were led to the Dubki hill and shot at the edge of pits. A small group resisted with weapons in hand and set fire to the houses; a few dozen people escaped into the forests.
