The Jews of Bereza, a town in Polesia, are shot in summer at the edges of the locality; a few young people reach the marshes.
Borough of Polesia long known for its fortified monastery, Bereza sees the Jews of the town and surrounding villages gathered in an enclosed quarter, put to work on road corvées, then led to a nearby forest where the pits had been dug. The liquidation of the ghetto takes place over a few days, during the summer.
