The Picardy community is arrested and taken toward the Paris region.
During the summer, the German police and the French police arrested Jews from the department in Amiens and throughout the Somme. Those apprehended were transferred to Drancy. Picardie fell under a special military administration zone due to its proximity to the coastline, from which Jews had been expelled as early as the first year of the occupation.
