The community of Koprivnica, at the borders of Podravina, is despoiled and then rounded up by Ustaše authorities and directed toward camps of the new State.

Koprivnica, on the borders of the Podravina, was home to a long-established Jewish community of merchants and artisans, with a synagogue and a school. The Ustasha regime applied its racial decrees within the first weeks: businesses were handed over to appointed commissioners, families lost their rights, children were removed from classrooms. Arrests followed during the summer and autumn. The Jews of Koprivnica were taken to the camps of the new State, in Slavonia and on the Adriatic coast, where most perished. The community did not reconstitute itself after the war.
