Student riot against Jewry

1592·Poznań

Toll
inconnu

The toll is reproduced exactly as the source states it — never rounded, never added to another. Tolls overlap from one event to the next.

The Jewish community of Poznań was attacked during a student riot.

This is the third such riot in a single generation in the same city. The communities of Poland settled the price of their peace with the colleges, and this arrangement, which the sources call a students' levy, shows how thoroughly disorder had become regular and predictable.
