The community of Ybbs an der Donau was destroyed during the Wiener Gesera.
The town held a toll on the Danube, and its Jews provided credit for the crossing; their claims reverted to the duke along with the rest of their property.
The Danube tolls were farmed out, and the Jews who advanced the price were considered creditors of the entire town; the general arrest ordered by the duke cancelled these claims at the same time as it eliminated those who held them.
