The Proujany ghetto, which had served as a refuge for Jews from neighbouring towns, is emptied in the middle of winter; those confined are taken by sleigh to the station then deported.
A town in Polesia whose ghetto had received Jews from neighboring localities, Proujany is emptied in the dead of winter. The inhabitants are marched to the station in extreme cold, crammed into wagons, and deported to a death camp. Those who cannot walk are shot in the streets of the quarter, and the ghetto ceases to exist within a matter of days.
