The Jews of the city and the towns of Polesie gathered there are led to the place called Stasino and shot at the edge of pits dug in the pine forest.
Stolin, seat of a Hassidic dynasty known throughout Polesia, held a ghetto where Jews from neighboring towns had been gathered. In September, all were led to the hill of Stasino and shot at the edge of prepared pits, in an operation that lasted the entire day. The Hassidic court of Stolin, one of the oldest in the region, disappeared along with the community.
