The Jews of Normandy are arrested and taken to Drancy.

During the summer, the German police and the French police arrested Jews in Rouen and in Seine-Inférieure, foreign nationals first, then French citizens. Those apprehended were sent to Drancy. Normandy's coastline was a forbidden zone, and Jews had been expelled from it as early as the first year of the occupation, which had already scattered the coastal communities toward the interior.
