The community of the small town, confined since summer in a closed quarter, is led out of the city and shot at the edge of a pit; a few craftsmen are held a few weeks longer, then shot in turn.
In Uzda, south of Minsk, the Jewish population is confined to an enclosed quarter from the first weeks, subjected to requisitions and collective fines. In the autumn, the inhabitants are led to pits dug at the edge of the town; a few craftsmen deemed useful are kept alive for a few more months before being shot in their turn. German provincial reports classify the operation among the "actions" of routine carried out that season.
