Jewish men from Bulgaria are placed in labor battalions and employed on roads and railways, far from home, during the years of alliance with the Reich.
Jewish men in Bulgaria are subjected to forced labor in segregated units, employed on roads, railways, and public construction sites. Called up by age cohorts from Sofia and provincial towns, they are sent to labor camps distributed across the country. Conditions are harsh, but this arrangement keeps these men within Bulgarian borders. This forced labor organization will remain in place until the end of the war.
