Suburb of Czernowitz made famous by the Hasidic dynasty that held its court there, Sadagora was emptied of its Jewish inhabitants during the expulsions ordered in autumn, its synagogue and palace left abandoned.
Sadagora, a suburb of Czernowitz, was the seat of a Hasidic dynasty whose palace and synagogue drew visitors from across the empire. The Jews of the town were rounded up upon the troops' arrival, stripped of their belongings, then herded into convoys crossing the Dniestr; the palace was emptied and left to ruin.
