The Jewish inhabitants of Kikinda are expelled from the province by order of the German administration of the Banat and handed over to the occupation authorities of Serbia.

In Kikinda, on the northern fringes of the Banat, the Jewish community had lived for several generations from trade and crafts. The German occupation of the province, relayed by auxiliaries recruited locally, immediately led to the seizure of property and the public humiliation of community leaders. The order for the general expulsion of Jews from the Banat came during the summer following the invasion: the Jewish inhabitants of Kikinda were arrested, gathered together, and handed over to the occupation authorities of Serbia, who confined them in camps in the region of the capital. No community reformed in the city after the war.
