The Hanover Synagogue is set on fire a few days after the expulsion to Poland of Polish Jews living there.

In Hanover, the synagogue is set on fire and Jewish businesses are destroyed during the night following the call. The men are arrested and taken to a camp. The city had experienced, a few days earlier, the expulsion to the Polish border of families lacking German nationality, one of which was the origin of the act that would serve as a pretext for the violence.
