Les manuscrits juifs conservés à Oxford doivent-ils être restitués ?
Historical essay published in 2026 by Éditions Erick Bonnier. Didier Nebot traces the story of Rabbi Ephraim Alnkaoua (Encaoua), Chief Rabbi of Tlemcen during the Renaissance, who welcomed Jewish refugees fleeing the 1391 Spanish pogroms and died a martyr in 1442. The book reveals the discovery of his only known manuscript (49 pages) at Oxford's Bodleian Library, among nearly 500 Jewish manuscripts never returned, and offers a complete French translation.
