Peremyshliany (Przemyślany in Polish), a town in Galicia near Lviv, is associated with the Hasidic lineage of Przemyślany, founded by Rabbi Meir of Przemyślany in the 19th century. The Jewish community had been established since the 16th century. The Holocaust destroyed the community in 1942.
