Region: Algérie (Nord-Ouest, wilaya d'Oran)
Aïn el Turck, a seaside resort near Oran, was home to Jewish families connected to the large Jewish community of Oran. These families participated in the economic life of the region and traveled the commercial and cultural routes of the Oran metropolis. Most emigrated during the mass departures of 1962.
