A town in the Mureș valley, Reghin sees its Jewish families regrouped in a brickyard then directed to the neighboring town, from which convoys depart for the death camp.
Szászrégen (Reghin), on the Mureș, was home to a community that lived from trade in timber, grain, and crafts, with its synagogue and schools. Following the German occupation of Hungary, the Jews of the town and the surrounding valley villages were gathered into a ghetto established on the outskirts of the town, where conditions matched those of the other assembly camps of Transylvania. The convoys departed in early summer toward the extermination center in Upper Silesia; the community never reconstituted itself.
