The community of the Epirus port is arrested the same day as those of Arta and Ioannina, then transported by road and rail to the camps.
The community of the port of Preveza is arrested on the same day as those of Arta and Ioannina, in a coordinated operation across Epirus. The families are gathered in the early morning, allowed to take little with them, then transported by road to a gathering point, and from there to the camps. Preveza had an ancient community, living from the port and trade; nothing of it remains after the war, and the few survivors do not resettle there.
