The toll is reproduced exactly as the source states it — never rounded, never added to another. Tolls overlap from one event to the next.

City of Thrace occupied, Xanthi sees its Jews arrested at dawn, held for a few days in a school, then led across the neighboring country to the death camp.

Xanthi, a tobacco city in western Thrace, was home to a Sephardic community whose families lived by warehousing, trade, and craftsmanship. It had been under Bulgarian administration since the partition of Greece. At the beginning of March, the occupation authorities gathered the city's Jews, held them in a requisitioned tobacco warehouse, then led them to the Danube transfer points, from which the convoys departed toward the killing center. The Jewish community of Xanthi was annihilated.
