Jews in Milan are arrested at their homes and gathered in a reserved section of San Vittore prison, from which convoys depart for Fossoli camp.

Arrests multiply in Milan from autumn onward, carried out by German services established in the city and with the assistance of Italian auxiliaries. Those arrested are imprisoned in San Vittore prison, in a reserved section, before being taken to the underground platform of the central station. It is from this platform that the convoys from Milan depart eastward. The Milanese community, the largest in the north of the peninsula, is decimated.
