Toll
plusieurs milliers de déportés

The toll is reproduced exactly as the source states it — never rounded, never added to another. Tolls overlap from one event to the next.

The ghetto of the city on the Bug is emptied by successive convoys toward an extermination center; the last inhabitants, held for workshops, are shot in the spring following in a nearby forest.

In Sokal, on the Bug, the enclosed quarter established in the spring receives Jews from the surrounding towns, swelling its population far beyond what the quarter can contain. Hunger and typhus ravage it even before the convoys, which depart in the autumn toward a killing center in the region. A few families hidden with peasants in the surrounding area will survive the occupation.
