The ghetto, which sheltered a clandestine network supplying arms to the forests, is liquidated in a single day; several hundred inhabitants escape and swell the partisan detachments of the Lipiczany forest.
Dzyatlava, which Jews called Zhetl, had a ghetto in which a clandestine group had been planning an escape for months. During the liquidation, the majority of the inhabitants were led to pits and shot; several hundred escaped into the Lipiczany forests and formed one of the largest Jewish partisan units in the region, around Hirsch Kaplinski.
