Town east of Minsk, Cherven sees its Jews confined in a few wooden houses in the heart of winter, then led to the roadside pits, the columns crossing the town before the eyes of residents.
Cherven, east of Minsk, sees its community recorded from the very first days of the occupation, then herded into a few streets. The inhabitants are led in groups toward open pits on the outskirts of the town; the craftsmen kept for their trade follow once their work is deemed no longer necessary.
