Town in eastern Polesia on the bank of the Sozh, Tchatchersk sees its Jewish population registered upon the arrival of troops, then led by families toward the pits dug at the edge of the town.
Tchatchersk, on the Sozh, was home to a community that lived off the timber and river trade. Those of its members who could not be evacuated eastward were registered, then led out of the town and shot, during the operations that followed the establishment of the military administration.
