The Shoah (1939–1945)
First convoys departed from Breslau
nov. 1941·Breslau
The toll is reproduced exactly as the source states it — never rounded, never added to another. Tolls overlap from one event to the next.
The Jews of Breslau and Silesia are gathered in requisitioned houses, then embarked from a suburban station towards the ghettos of the east.
The first convoys departing from Breslau in late autumn carried the city's and Silesia's families toward Kaunas and then toward the ghettos of the East. Those summoned had been gathered in assembly camps established on the outskirts. The convoys would then continue toward Theresienstadt until the community's disappearance.
