Railway hub in northern Crimea surrounded by Jewish agricultural colonies, Djankoï sees the inhabitants of the town and those of nearby farms gathered, all taken to the pits of the steppe.
Dzhankoy, a railway junction in northern Crimea, was surrounded by Jewish agricultural settlements established between the two wars. The inhabitants of the farms and the town are gathered on summons, taken away in trucks, and shot in the ditches dug on the outskirts; the settlements remain empty.
