Jews arrested and executed by Pál Prónay's detachment

The Hungarian White Terror follows the fall of Béla Kun's Council Republic. In Siófok, on Lake Balaton, Pál Prónay's detachment arrests and executes Jews.

The Council Republic had counted Jews among its leaders, and it is this fact that the officer detachments elevate into collective responsibility. The conflation of Bolshevism with Judaism, as formulated at that time, would have lasting legacy in Central Europe, where it would provide one of the principal driving forces of the movements of the following decades.
