À Perpignan, le call fut attaqué lors de la propagation des massacres dans le Roussillon, qui appartenait alors à la couronne d'Aragon.

La communauté perpignanaise, connue par ses médecins et ses prêteurs, survécut à l'assaut mais fut emportée par l'expulsion générale décidée un siècle plus tard. Quand la province passa à la France, deux siècles après, il n'y avait plus de Juifs à Perpignan, et il n'y en eut plus avant l'époque contemporaine.
