The Jewish quarter of Murcia was attacked during the wave of thirteen ninety-one.

The kingdom of Murcia, Castilian since the thirteenth century, had retained from the Muslim period a large Jewish population in its towns. The municipal council attempted to protect the quarter, as did several others in Castile, but the crowd prevailed.
