Avocat de Ferrare, Felice Ravenna fonde en 1901 à Ferrare la Federazione Sionistica Italiana, qu'il préside et dirige pendant une vingtaine d'années. Il accueille Theodor Herzl chez lui en 1904 lors de la venue de ce dernier en Italie. Il appartient à une famille de trois générations d'avocats diplômés de l'Université de Ferrare : son grand-père Salomone (1804-1895) et son père Leone (1837-1920). Ses archives (conservées au CDEC) documentent son action pour la Fédération sioniste et l'Union des communautés israélites italiennes.
