Savant né en 1956, chef du département d'études sémitiques et hébraïques de l'Université d'État de Saint-Pétersbourg et chercheur à l'Institut des manuscrits orientaux de l'Académie des sciences de Russie ; membre correspondant du Hebrew Palaeography Project de l'Académie israélienne des sciences. Auteur d'environ 80 publications sur le livre hébreu ancien.
