Né à Ivrea, qualifié enseignant de littérature en 1854, nommé rabbin de Turin en 1877. Auteur d'un rituel de prières avec traduction italienne (Livourne, 1879), d'une élégie sur Hillel Cantoni (Turin, 1857), d'un catalogue de manuscrits hébreux (1880) et de divers sermons et essais.
