Yahrzeit (a Yiddish word) is the anniversary of a relative's death according to the Hebrew calendar. A memorial candle is lit to burn for twenty-four hours, the Kaddish is recited, and the grave is sometimes visited. Among Sephardim, this remembrance often takes the form of an azkara, with study and a memorial meal offered in the deceased's honor.
This Great Book does not yet have published chapters. The chapters — each bearing its register, its epistemic status and its sources — will be added as editorial enrichment and assisted generation progress.
