The language of Portuguese Jews and New Christians and of their Western Sephardic descendants, Judeo-Portuguese was used in trade, correspondence and certain communal writings of the Amsterdam, Hamburg and Bayonne diasporas. It coexisted with literary Spanish within the 'Portuguese Nation.' Several community registers and regulations attest to it.
This Great Book does not yet have published chapters. The chapters — each bearing its register, its epistemic status and its sources — will be added as editorial enrichment and assisted generation progress.
