Tsniout designates the ideal of modesty, reserve and propriety in dress, behavior and speech. From a spiritual principle ("walk humbly with your God", Micah 6:8), it developed into vestimentary and social norms, diversely interpreted according to communities and periods.
This Great Book does not yet have published chapters. The chapters — each bearing its register, its epistemic status and its sources — will be added as editorial enrichment and assisted generation progress.
