Abraham Abulafia (1240–c. 1291) developed a "prophetic" or ecstatic Kabbalah based on letter combination (tzerufim), breathing, and mystical concentration to reach a state of illumination and union with the divine intellect. Itinerant and controversial, he distinguished his path from the theosophical Kabbalah of the sefirot. His work would lastingly influence Jewish meditative techniques.
This Great Book does not yet have published chapters. The chapters — each bearing its register, its epistemic status and its sources — will be added as editorial enrichment and assisted generation progress.
