Founded on 13 October 1843 in New York by twelve German Jewish immigrants led by Henry Jones, B'nai B'rith ("Sons of the Covenant") is the oldest Jewish service organization in the world. Its headquarters is in Washington D.C.; it supports Jewish life worldwide, combats antisemitism, and conducts humanitarian and diplomatic advocacy.
