Ses gloses/annotations accompagnent l'édition originale du « Hekhal ha-Kodesh » de Rabbi Moshe Elbaz, dans l'esprit de la kabbale du Ari (R. Isaac Louria). Il compta, avec Yaʿakov Sasportas, parmi les figures marocaines de la lutte contre le sabbataïsme.
