20 août 1978·Londres, Hyde Park

In London, a bus carrying the crew of an El Al flight left a hotel near Hyde Park to travel to the airport. A commando unit attacked it with grenades and automatic weapons in the middle of the street.

A flight attendant was killed, several crew members were wounded; a passerby was also struck. The attackers were arrested after a chase through the neighborhood and tried in the United Kingdom.

The attack took place in one of the most frequented districts of the British capital, a few meters from the park. It led to the permanent protection of Israeli crews during stopovers in London.
