Msallata, to the east of Tripoli, is struck by the same wave. The Jewish families of the town, few in number and dispersed among the population, are attacked in their homes during the days of violence that follow the outbreak of the riots in the capital.
As in the other localities of Tripolitania, the absence of local protection leaves those who attack unchecked until the arrival of British troops. The survivors make their way to Tripoli, where the community endeavors to receive the refugees from the towns.
These days of November struck the capital and its province simultaneously; it is their simultaneity, as much as their violence, that convinced the Jews of Libya that they no longer had a future in the country.
