The ghetto of the textile city is emptied in a few days: inhabitants are gathered at the cemetery, sorted, then sent mostly to a killing center, a minority being transferred to the large neighboring ghetto to work there.
The enclosed quarter of Zduńska Wola, a textile town in the Łódź region, is liquidated in August: the population is gathered in the cemetery, where a selection lasting several days takes place, then transported to a death camp. Those deemed unfit are shot on the spot. A minority of workers is transferred to the large neighboring enclosed quarter, where most will die before the end of the occupation.
