A town in the Lubelskie region whose Jews were gathered in spring and transported by convoy to Bełżec, a few retained at the nearby labor camp.
Kraśnik, between Lublin and the San, becomes under occupation one of the district's assembly points. A closed quarter is established there, divided between the old town and the suburb, receiving Jews from the surrounding area as well as deportees from Austria and Slovakia. Forced labor for construction sites and the nearby armaments factory selects able-bodied men. In the spring, the population of the quarter is led toward Bełżec; convoys follow one after another until autumn. The last survivors are held in a labor camp attached to the factory, then transferred when the authorities decide to put an end to the region's Jewish workforce.
