Mountain town at the foot of the Carpathians, Jablonow sees its community gathered then led on foot toward the neighboring small town, from which it is directed toward the death camp.

Jablonow, a Carpathian market town in eastern Galicia at the foot of the Hutsul passes, was home to a small community that lived from timber, retail trade, and mountain fairs. Under the occupation, its Jews were registered, stripped of their possessions, conscripted for road labor, then gathered and led to the region's concentration points. Some were shot in the ravines of the surrounding area; others were taken by convoy to the death camp, and the Jewish town vanished entirely.
