The Hasidic community of the small Hutsul town, famous for its rabbinical dynasty, is annihilated on the hill of Horodok, above the Rybnytsia.
Kosiv, a Carpathian town renowned for its crafts and Hasidic courts, sees its community annihilated over two days in October. The Jewish inhabitants are led to the hill of Horodyshche and shot at the edge of pits; the few survivors are confined in a ghetto with Jews from neighboring villages, then deported the following year.
