Liouboml, a town in northwestern Volhynia, had a majority Jewish population living from trade and crafts. As the armies of the Polish-Soviet War passed through, the town was pillaged and ransomed. The inhabitants were forced to hand over their provisions, their horses, and their money; those who had nothing were beaten. The town was crossed several times in both directions, and pillaged each time.
