Jewish shops and houses looted
Pavlohrad, a town in the Ekaterinoslav governorate on the Donbass railway line, was home to a Jewish community of merchants and artisans. During the civil war, its Jewish shops and homes were looted by the successive troops and bands that passed through the town. The proximity of the railway, which had brought it prosperity, drew transit detachments and the abuses that accompanied them.
