the attacked community
The community of Ségovie was attacked during the wave of thirteen hundred and ninety-one.
It recovered, and its great synagogue, now the church of Corpus Christi, can still be seen; but the city would also become, in the fifteenth century, the scene of a ritual murder accusation and of the expulsion of Jews from within its walls into an enclosed quarter.
